This course trains students on how to respond in an emergency. Students will learn first aid for bleeding and wound care, shock, burns, sudden illness, bone/joint/muscle injuries, as well as choking, CPR and AED, and more.
Students will learn how to properly and safely react to a fire in the workplace, including extinguisher selection and use, evacuation, basic fire prevention, and more.
Students will learn how to recognize hazardous substance/materials release, how to initiate an emergency response sequence to notify the proper authorities, safe scene management, site security, and more.
